Catch a Festive Show
Get into the festive spirit with a show at the Hall for Cornwall, just over the road from our restaurant and bar.
On Wednesday 22nd November, Join Strictly Come Dancing stars Janette Manrara and Aljaž Škorjanec in their brand-new festive show, Winter Wonderland, which will celebrate the very best of Christmas tradition through song and dance.
A magical Cornwall Playhouse Production of Peter Pan is open for bookings throughout December. Promising to be “stuffed full of pesky pirates, freewheeling fun and a gaggle of lost boys and girls” and starring Edward Rowe (aka Kernow King) as Captain Hook, this is guaranteed to be the perfect festive family treat or a fantastic outing with a group of friends.
We’re perfectly placed for a pre-show meal for those heading to the theatre, and Mannings is also an ideal spot for post-show drinks so you can keep the night going and discuss the show over a cocktail or two!
Fuel up for late night Christmas Shopping
Following a celebratory switch-on event at the end of November, twinkling Christmas lights will be illuminating Truro throughout December, making it the perfect place to get into the festive spirit while getting your Christmas shopping done.
Our central location means there’s nowhere better to relax, refuel and refresh in a festive and fun environment before hitting the cobbles once again to cross more names off your present list.
In the run up to Christmas, Truro will have late night shopping on Thursday evenings with many shops and the Pannier Market staying open until 9pm. Truro Farmers Market’s seasonal event, The Big Christmas Market, will also be at Lemon Quay most days throughout the festive period, joining in with late night shopping too. The markets always have an amazing selection of local food, drink, arts and crafts along with festive entertainment.
