Sustainability Statement

It is our policy to seek continual improvement throughout our business operations to lessen our impact on the local and global environment by conserving energy, water and other natural resources; reducing waste generation; recycling and; reducing our use of toxic materials.

We want a greener, cleaner world and our sustainable approach has changed the way we use resources.

Some of the initiatives that we have implemented to reduce our carbon footprint include:

LED lighting and motion sensors to reduce energy consumption.

Waste management plans that prioritise recycling and reduction of single-use plastics.

We recycle cardboard and tin through our local refuse company.

‘Green Team’ meetings to bring all departments together to work on reducing our carbon footprint.

We actively patrol the street in front of our properties for litter and encourage our staff to pick up any litter they see.

We support environmental, sustainable transport by providing bus information to our guests.

100% energy efficient light-bulbs – where possible.

We currently recycle our used oil from our restaurant.

Only 100% compostable, eco-friendly straws are used in our bar and restaurant.

Luckily, we’re excellently situated with our main bus depot just a few minutes away and Truro’s main railway station is only a 25 Minute walk away.

Our city centre means that everything that you’re looking for is right on our doorstep.

We encourage our guests to ask for water to refill their water bottles

We have Go Green Stickers in all of our bedrooms asking our guests to consider re – using their towels and not asking for clean towels each day.

We recycle all plastic that comes into the building or re-use it.
