Exciting changes are afoot at Mannings – find out more!

This autumn, some major changes are coming to our restaurant and bar here at Mannings. We’ve reimagined our whole food and drink offering to introduce a more relaxed, cosmopolitan vibe, taking you through busy days and on into sparkling nights without breaking stride (or breaking the bank!)

We’ve taken the very best bits of our eclectic signature style, devising menus full of fresh dishes and global flavours. The new format takes you seamlessly from light bistro-style lunches to pre-theatre dinners, and on to indulgent à la carte evening meals in stylish surroundings.

At lunchtime, our newly extended service times give you ultimate flexibility. Served 12 – 4, the menu is designed to offer everything from a light, mid-shopping lunch to a heart-warming midday meal. Big on colour, flavour, and fresh ingredients, you’ll want to return time and again to try it all!

The rollcall of dishes reads like an epicurean’s food diary; notes on a voyage told through our favourite local ingredients. For example, keep it brunch-like with a delicious and healthy plate of Huevos Rancheros, spice it up with our Mangalore Fish Curry, or opt for classic British comfort food with a generous helping of braised Primrose Herd pork and mash laced with Rodda’s clotted cream, served with hispi cabbage and port wine jus.

Between 4 – 6.15pm a slimmed-down version of this is available in the form of our great value Early Dinner Menu, providing the perfect dancefloor filler for those of you with busy lives; pre-theatre meals, post-work bites, early dinner with the family – Mannings caters for every occasion, be it a run-of-the-mill weeknight or a special weekend celebration.

As an added incentive, all prices during our Early Dinner session include either a pint of Mannings Pilsner, a glass of wine or a soft drink, making this hands down the best option in town!

After 6.15 things step up a notch or two, with our À La Carte menu. Showcasing prime local ingredients from our fishmonger and butcher, come with us on a three-course journey through the Cornish countryside and along the glorious coastline from the comfort of our elegant urban eatery.

Throughout the day, our Mannings Specials will run alongside the other menus. Changing every fortnight, this is where our creative chefs really go to town, taking the best seasonal ingredients from land and sea. Depending on the season you might find hand-dived Falmouth scallops, free range duck, new season asparagus, wild venison, or local strawberries – it’s a real feast of delicacies from our doorstep here in beautiful Cornwall.
